Claude & Zapier specialists · Columbus, Ohio

Your team has AI licenses. What they need is a plan built by the people doing the work.

We start with the people closest to the work: they find the opportunities, they score what's worth building, and they run it when we leave. We specialize in Claude and Zapier.

What we specialize in

People first

AI changes how people work, so we start with the people.

The people doing the work find the opportunities.

Every engagement starts with the people who do the job every day, not with a tool demo. They know where the time actually goes.

The people who own the workflow decide what's worth building.

They score each opportunity on value, feasibility, data readiness, and how much change it asks of people. We run the process; we don't pick for you.

Your people run it when we leave.

Every engagement ends with a named internal owner, documentation, and role-based training, so nothing depends on us staying.

Start with one win. Build a capability that lasts. Most firms give you one or the other.

Short term6–12 weeks
Long term6–12 months
Goal
Prove value in one real workflow
Build a repeatable operating system
Looks like
One pilot, real users, measured
Quarterly roadmap cycles, regular policy reviews, internal champions
Risk if skipped
No credibility, no budget
Permanent pilot purgatory

Most engagements fail at the seam between these two columns. A pilot with nothing sequenced behind it is pilot purgatory. What you want is a sequence, not a shopping list.

Services

Five things, in the order they work.

01

Strategy Workshops

Facilitated sessions that surface real opportunities from the people doing the work. Structured brainstorming across departments, then ruthless prioritization against value and feasibility.

Output: a scored, prioritized use-case inventory.

02

Roadmaps

A sequenced 12-month plan with quarterly cycles, what has to happen before what, owners, and success metrics, plus a short AI policy that says what's allowed, with which data, and who decides.

Output: a roadmap leadership can fund and a policy people can actually follow.

03

Enablement

Hands-on setup of the AI tools your team already pays for: configuring Claude around the way each role actually works, connecting it to your systems, automating the handoffs in Zapier, and piloting with real users. You can buy it for one workflow as a fixed-scope Use-Case Launch, or ongoing as an Enablement Partner.

Output: a solution in production, an internal owner who can maintain it, and a tested path from pilot to company-wide rollout.

04

Training

Role-based, platform-specific training that meets people where their work is — not generic prompt tips.

Output: internal champions who can run it on their own.

05

Fractional AI Council

Retained seat

Most organizations stand up an AI steering group and then find nobody in the room has done this before. Your steering group gets a standing member who has: someone in the monthly review who pressure-tests what's proposed, evaluates vendor pitches before you sign, and keeps the roadmap honest between quarters.

Output: a governing body that decides things instead of scheduling the next meeting.

What this isn't

Not a replacement for your IT or delivery team. Not a software reseller. Not a strategy deck that leaves when the invoice does.

The work is the organizational system around the technology and the hands-on configuration that gets it running: the sequence, the guardrails, the setup, and the people who'll run it. Custom software development isn't part of it. When an engagement needs deeper specialist hands, Sunbury Digital brings in vetted partners, and you'll know who they are before they start.

Who this is for

  • Executive sponsors who own the outcome but not the technology
  • Operations and transformation leads inside 100–2,000 person organizations
  • IT leaders who need a business-side counterpart, not another vendor
  • Professional services, engineering, finance, and healthcare administration
  • Organizations with real compliance constraints and no appetite for a policy that stops work

How an engagement works

A data-driven path to AI transformation.

01

Discover

Talk to the people doing the work and find out where the time actually goes.

02

Prioritize

Score every opportunity on value and feasibility, then cut the list to a sequence.

03

Pilot

Build one workflow with real users over six to eight weeks and measure whether it held.

04

Scale

Quarterly cycles, regular policy reviews, and your people running it on their own.

Ways to start

Half day · low commitment

Half-Day Strategy Workshop

One scoped session with the right people in the room. We surface and rank opportunities, and you leave with a shortlist you didn't have that morning.

Fixed scope · 6–8 weeks · use case already chosen

Use-Case Launch

Enablement for one workflow, with a fixed scope and an end date. You already know which workflow comes first and need it running. We set it up (Claude configured for the roles involved, Zapier automations), pilot it with real users, and hand it to an internal owner with documentation and training.

6–8 weeks · the core offer

Opportunity Assessment & Roadmap

Interviews, scoring, executive alignment, and a sequenced 12-month roadmap, with an AI policy leadership can approve and people can follow.

Ongoing · retained

Enablement Partner

Enablement across workflow after workflow, with training and policy support at a steady cadence, until your people are running it on their own.

Monthly · a seat, not a project

Fractional AI Council

A standing seat on your AI steering group: monthly review, vendor evaluations, and a roadmap that stays honest between quarters.

Pricing comes with the proposal. Scope and duration are listed here so you can see which option fits before we talk.

Methods

What it looks like in practice.

Workshop format

Cross-department sessions with a capped headcount. Everyone puts ideas on the table first, then the group has to narrow them down. Nobody leaves the room with an unranked list.

Prioritization criteria

Value, feasibility, data readiness, and change cost — scored by the people who own the workflow, not by an outside consultant.

Pilot structure

Scope the workflow and decide how to measure it, build and improve it with real users, then decide: scale, adjust, or stop.

A policy people can follow

The shortest AI policy that satisfies your auditors without stopping work: which data can be used where, approved uses, who to ask when unsure, and how often it's reviewed.

Assessment & roadmap

Engineering and professional services firm, ~400 staff

Civil, municipal, and land surveying work. Led a full AI opportunity assessment: executive alignment, scoring of the opportunity list by stakeholders across the firm, prioritization against value and feasibility, and a sequenced 12-month roadmap with a right-sized AI policy. The executive team adopted it.

Enablement · seven weeks

Same firm, the next phase

Led a seven-week enablement engagement: pilots for accounts payable invoice processing and proposal support, built with real users, adoption measured weekly, then handed to named internal owners. The first win and the long-term plan, run end to end in one organization.

Josh Hicks

Founder, Sunbury Digital · Former Director of Engineering

Josh Hicks founded Sunbury Digital after more than a decade of hands-on technical work, including leading engineering teams as a Director of Engineering. That time was spent inside the systems, the projects, and the conversations where technology either earns its keep or doesn't: executive teams setting direction, practice leads who need the work to go faster, and IT teams who have to make it safe without becoming the department that says no.

Sunbury Digital is based in Columbus, Ohio, and specializes in Anthropic Claude and Zapier: setting them up around real work and handing them to the people who'll run them. Workshops are facilitated in person wherever we can be in the room.

People come first because they decide whether any of this works. AI changes what a team can do, and bolting it onto the way work has always been done wastes most of that. We'd rather question a process than automate a bad one, and the people doing the work are the ones who know which processes deserve questioning.

The endgame of every engagement is the same: your people, running it on their own.

The 90/12 Readiness Scorecard

This is not a maturity model. It's a single page a leadership team fills out together, scoring where you actually are on the two questions that matter: can you prove a win in 90 days, and can you run it yourselves in 12 months. It gets the room to say out loud what it's been avoiding.

Two pages: one to discuss as a group, and a worksheet to record what you decided. It's the same scorecard that opens every Sunbury Digital assessment.

Free to use inside your organization. Please don't resell or rebrand it.
